Museum of Building History and Crafts in Český Krumlov
The private museum exhibition is located in a historic house at Dlouhá 92 in the center of Český Krumlov. Visitors interested in the history of our town have the opportunity to learn about the architectural development of Český Krumlov’s town houses through architectural details and building elements. Architectural details (decorative elements of facades, doors, portals, wooden ceilings, trusses, etc.) played a decisive role in the stylistic transformation of the original medieval town. It is no exaggeration to say that Český Krumlov, which has never experienced devastating fires or radical reconstruction, is a living textbook of architecture.
The museum exhibition does not have fixed opening hours, but can be visited after agreement by phone, email
The minimum number of visitors for a guided tour is 5 people, admission is CZK 70.
The back side of the house still preserves one of the last green terraces by the mill run, where the Český Krumlov townsfolk managed their own gardens for centuries. Despite its proximity to one of the main tourist routes into the city, you will be surprised by the pleasant, relax atmosphere here, enhanced by the romantic view of the castle tower and the castle panorama.
